Another jewish scale song although it does not stay strict to it the whole way through. I tried to make this flow as well as I could and it definitely does seem to (At the start at least). The solo was also designed to be more melodic and well paced than my usual stuff though it doesn't sound as good as I would have wanted it to.
I came up with the intro riff while fooling about on guitar and then I found out it was part of the Jewish Scale. So now I have my first Jewish Scale song. Its a bit repetative but it has quite a nic feel to it. It also is not in the lower end of my 7-string tuning so it actually sounds a bit lighter than usual.
Alright, this is just the intro from a new song. I want an evil feel to it so I put those chords at the start with delay. It works (Delay might need a bit of tweeking). Then I try and build it up to the distortion and the riffs just don't seem to have any weight to them at all. What do I need to change? is basically what I'm asking. Its one of those rare times I'm asking for help.
Maybe my most melodic piece yet. Lots of clean and ambient distortion. Though no solo. And I've finally gone back to a six string after maybe 3 or 4 months of writing. For anyone who's interested the tuning from low to high is: C, G, C, E, G, D or a Cadd9 chord.
