Is a release for Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) likely to come out soon? Really love this application, but is seems to have stopped working since I got the new OS.

You're kidding right? Why would the developers release a version for a brand new OS when they haven't even updated the program for established OS's in over 2 1/2 years?

Because you don't have to be such an asshole.
And because it's open source, if anything, someone will fork it.

It opens tabs fine, it just doesn't appear to produce any audio output.

I was able to restore sound by switching the MIDI Port to "Java Sound Synthesizer" in the Sound options. Everything else appears to work fine.

I´ve tried to download Tux for Mac (the file is named: tuxguitar-1-1.2-macosx10.5-cocoa-32 .dmg ofc) but it won´t even open the file.
Os - Lion. Any suggestions?

I have Lion 64-bit and it seems that the download includes the 32-bit SWT library. Here's a workaround
I ran tuxguitar on the command line and got this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Cannot load 32-bit SWT libraries on 64-bit JVM

The fix is suggested here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2921193/swt-on-windows-64-bit
It's a little tricky. Download the file from the link above. (MacOS...x86_64). Open it and find "swt.jar". As root, copy that file to "/Applications/Tuxguitar.app/Contents/MacOS/lib". It will overwrite the file already there.

Why workaround?
I have Lion on a MacBook Pro 64-bit and no need for workarounds.
Just download the installer in this website and install as usual.
