I think it will be useful for the string tuning section of guitars and the alike to have a drop down bar for pre-made tunings. eg. Drop D 1/2 step and standard. This would make it easier for people to select and tune their guitars and basses easily.

I also think when you're importing a midi, that you should be able to not only transpose it, but input the alternative tunings for different guitar parts and maybe select different instruments for different tracks.

It may interesting also to have de ability of saving your own tuning for different instruments, so you can load when making new tracks. Changing tuning is tedious and error prone. I play spanish bandurria, Sol#4, Do#5, Fa#5, Si5, Mi6, La6. I have to translate that into G, C, etc, and choose them in the tuning dialog every time i want to write a tablature.

YES!!! Customizable default and ability to change/save other tunings would be really great.
