May I suggest an arcade mode (Guitar Hero style) to add some fun?

Motivation:
I (the OP) believe a Guitar Hero view would gather new Tuxguitar users. Guitar Hero is generating a lot of wannabes but of course Guitar Hero is very limited as real guitar training. A simple Guitar Hero view would create a migration path from the pure fun in Guitar Hero to fun and real training in Tuxguitar.
Background:
I used to play the guitar a lot more than I do now. After playing Guitar Hero for the first time this weekend my dream of being a better guitarist was revitalized. So I googled and found this http://littlebigstar.net/main/.
Request:
A simple Guitar Hero view would allow you to see the upcoming grips in rhythm of the song for people that can't read musical notation such as myself. Guitar Hero is actually a good way of learning the rhythm and composition of a song (intro, main riff, bridge, chorus, solo, outro etc.). I suggest the view should be similar to the first two screenshots at http://littlebigstar.net/main/
Future:
A more advanced Guitar Hero mode (such as http://littlebigstar.net/main/) would allow you to plug in your guitar and score your playing. However, this is not my request. I only want the simple view. The sound of my guitar playing gives feedback for me to score my own playing...
Please let me know if I can help by eloborating or writing specs.

well it's a nice idea,
but as tuxguitar is a tablature editor, this feature don't take a good priority.

You could write a tuxguitar tool plugin for this..

It's not actually a Guitar hero game hes talking about. Just a very useful interesting display method for practising songs.

Frets on Fire is more of a guitar hero clone than anything.
What I think the OP,and many others, is seeking is something more along the lines of JamOrigin which blends the line between a learning tool and addictive fun. http://www.offbeatforum.com/jamorigin/
