What appears as random tabs that i download from the internet dont open on tux guitar, i merely see a blank measure with a blank piano track

Hi,
you need to be more specific. What tuxguitar version do you have installed ?
give me please a link to one of that files what are causing problems.

0.9.1 is a very old release..
The bug what cause you can't open that file, was already fixed on latest versions.

I could open that file without problems on latest release (and it throws an error on 0.9.1)
What the error message says ?

there is no message it just opens a blank piano tab. i installed 1.0-rc4-jet is that the ltest one, if not which one should i have?

by going to ultiamte guitar and prssing download 'cant catch tomorrow' tab then pressing open

I tried to ask, if you are opening the file from tuxguitar ( File-> Open ) or direct from the file manager (maybe with 2 clicks ) from your X Desktop.

I have this same problem, I click on a tab and it opens tuxguitar but a blank file, it's very irritating
