tux doesn't recognize which key I am pressing

This is kinda hard to explain, but when I'm trying to write some tabs and I hit any key on the keyboard (numbers and letters) it goes through every number 0 through 9, starting with whatever the first number I hit was when I open the program. so if I hit the 5 key seven times in a row, it goes 5 6 7 8 9 0 1. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Tuxguitar 3 times, i've reinstalled java. I don't know what to do

I have this same problem and I have no clue how to fix it. Any help anyone? Pleeeaaaasssseee Dx
