I'm used ubuntu 10.04 based on macbook pro 5.1 and installing all plugin of tuxguitar.
but no sound appears. any one have clue?

Try installing timidity or fluidsynth, then select it as MIDI Port at Tools -> Settings, in sound secion.

I already have timidity and fluidsynth. What I must choose in Tools -> Setting ?
Midi Squencer - Real Time Squencer
Midi Port - Midi Through Port-0 # 0

you have to find the the first timidity port at the MIDI Port drowp down. forget "Midi Through Port-0", it never play sounds as default.
if you have installed tuxguitar-alsa, and tuxguitar-oss, try uninstall the oss plugin.. it's not recommended to have both installed, they can conflict each one.

Great... Thanks. It's work now.
I remove the oss plugin and reboot my system. After that select timidity port and restart tuxguitar.
The sound come out more better than my other laptops. :D
