i get an error trying to open some gp5 files, that works in the demo version of gp5. I just get a popup saying cannot open file:C:~.....

Hi,
please paste here the error log:
1_ go to the folder where is tuxguitar installed.. and edit "tuxguitar.bat" file... replace "javaw" to "java"
2_ launch tuxguitar.bat..
when error happens, you'll see the log at the symbol system..
please paste log here.

Hi,
"Unsupported Format Exception", is because the file format is not supported by tuxguitar.
tuxguitar has support for that GP formats:
FICHIER GUITAR PRO v3.00
FICHIER GUITAR PRO v4.00
FICHIER GUITAR PRO v4.06
FICHIER GUITAR PRO L4.06
FICHIER GUITAR PRO v5.00
the file you are trying load, isn't any of that versions.

how can i open the gp5 format!!! iwas used many program for trying to get good result but i got nothing

Anonymous, in tuxguitar menu, go to "File -> Open "
and choose your .gp5 file.

Just says can't open file... even though it does mention that .gp5 is supported

What operating system, and tuxguitar version do you have ?
