Hello,
I would like to try out Tuxguitar. But the installated version tuxguitar-1.2-macosx10.5cocoa-32.dmg doesn't start after the installation. I use a iMac (intel, 2006 late, 2 GHz) with actual snow leopard 10.6.
After I started Tuxguitar the start icon appears in the dock. But after a few seconds it goes away and I don't get messages.
What is wrong and what can I do? I remember it was the same unter OSX 10.4.
Thank you for your help.
Greetings Volker

As default Mac OS X 10.6 works in 64 bit mode. it was the issue that made us provide two cocoa packages ( 32 / 64 )
So, did you tried the 64 bit package instead ??

Hi,
thank you for your tipp. I tryed the 64 Version and it runs.
Before I tryed it out I found a movi on youtube that describe the change in the java preference so you can run the 32 version.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUMZx4F-xx0
But the new installation of the 64 version is better because it don't need a change of my configuration.
Thank you

/Volumes/TuxGuitar 1.2 Cocoa 64-bits Edition/Tuxguitar.app/Contents/MacOS/tuxguitar ; exit;
WOS:~ wossquee$ /Volumes/TuxGuitar 1.2 Cocoa 64-bits Edition/Tuxguitar.app/Contents/MacOS/tuxguitar ; exit;
2010-02-14 04:49:45.603 java[1115:1707] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Enabled
2010-02-14 04:49:45.604 java[1115:1707] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Setting timeout for SWT to 0.100000
It hangs on this when I open the 64 bit version in 10.6. Clicking on the app doesn't work either. 32 bit doesn't work, even with the flipping Java trick. Any ideas?

The Mac OS X 10.5+ 64 bit LINK links to the download of the 32 bit. Maybe there's some mistake in the linking. Cause when i clicked the "Mac OSX 10.5+ Files (64 Bit version) " it gives me the 32 bit version.

I got the same. It says the 64 bit file is missing, so it suggests the 32 bit file.
