Subject MIDI import creates just one track   Post Reply Post New Topic

Hi, when importing a midi file, it just generates just one track for all instruments. I Use Tux 1.1 on win XP.

Any hints welcome

Hi folks,

is there no one who did a successful import of midi data yet or did I describe the problem in a wron way.
I can not imagine, that using midi data is always based
on files, including just one instrument

Any help appreciated

Are these files MIDI 1.0 right ??

the problem seems to be that MIDI 1.0 don't manage tracks, only channels. while 2.0 have tracks and channels ( where you can have one track using more than one channels )

we need more work on this midi importer.
