Hi, happy year you too!!!
sorry the time of answer, i was not at home last 15 days..(i take hollidays)
i'm not an expert off midi, but i can say some things...
1_ i'm sure you know i'm a linux user, and i don't have idea how works Java Sound Api under windows... but yes under linux ..
i don't know why, but Java Sound Api run always as a software synthesizer, and it don't found other soft devices in your OS (like timidity)..
so, if your PC has a Midi Card, java don't take this midi card.. or if you don't have midi card but you have installed timidity java don't found too....
is for that, i make the alsa plugin..
other thing... if you have the alsa plugin and run with timidity.. you must know timidity use "soundfonts" (best quality than soundbanks, but more slowly)
** the CVS version has an updated to CPU ussage when tuxguitar is running..
