Subject no sound with Logitech Z-10 speakers   Post Reply Post New Topic

I'm using the Logitech Z-10 speaker system - connected via usb-cable.
I have the problem that there is no sound output.

The settings are:
MIDI Sequencer: TuxGuitar Sequencer
MIDI Port: Midi Through Port-0 [14:0]
Midi Through Port-0 #0

Has anybody a hint or experiences with the same speaker system?

It's because you don't have any MIDI Synthesizer to play sounds.
"Midi Through Port" is an Alsa wrapper port, it never sounds as default if you didn't make any connection to it.
(You have it 2 times, because you have tuxguitar-alsa and tuxguitar-oss plugins installed.)

Try install a software synthesizer like timidity ( and make sure it's running ) and select it on MIDI Port.
