sharp/flat mode

I use 2.1 version and the sharp/flat mode doesn't work ..... If the song is in C key and I play the 4th note on the 1st string, TG write G#, but if the chord is, for instance, Fm the correct note to write is Ab (third of the chord). How can I change it ? Clicking on the sharp/flat mode icon doesn't make any change. Thank you for your help
