which soundfont/soundbank-file formats are supported under WinXP and how can i get tehm to work? i'd like to use SF2 files, i can even select them in API-plugin settings, but it still plays the java standart bank.

The java sound synthesizer don't have .sf2 support.
you can load .sf2 files under windows by using the fluidsynth plugin.
to to Tools -> Plugins, and configure the fluidsynth plugin ( add the .sf2 files there ).
then go to Tools -> Settings, at sound section you have to see TG Fluidsynt[sf2 file] available ports to select in MIDI Port.

ok, this leads me to another problem...
if i try to config the fluidsynth-plugin an error message pops up
"no tuxguitar-fluidsynth-jni in java.library.path"
after closing this message, everytime i click on config a new errormessage appears
"org.herac.tuxguitar.player.impl.midiport.fluidsynth.MidiSynth"
so what now?
