hola, yo trabajo en ubuntu y me bajo el dapper .deb, y cuando lo corro con sudo dpkg -i, me da un error el arhivo TuxGuitar, me pasa lo mismo cuando bajo el src y lo corro con
sudo apt-get build-essential
./TuxGuitar
probe con versiones viejas y me pasa lo mismo, tendran alguna idea de porque es, y si conocen otra forma mas facil de correrlo, sera bienvenida, gracias.

Necesitaria que me digas que error te produce, de todas formas, te comento que tuxguitar no requiere ser instalado, puedes bajarte la version binaria y descomprimirlo donde quieras dejarlo y correr directamente el ejecutable desde ahi...
El problema mas común es que existe una version open source de java que no es completamente compatible con la version de sun, el sonido es justamente una de las cosas diferentes y uno de los requerimientos basicos de tuxguitar... solo lo hemos probado satisfactoriamente con el jdk de sun.
De todas formas, si llegas a tener problemas estos siempre son mostrados por consola, por lo que lo unico que tienes que hacer es correr el tuxguitar desde la consola y luego enviarnos una copia del error.

Hola... como dice el post de hernux tendrias q mostrarnos el error..
pero seguramente sea un error de dependencias..
checkea que tengas instalado "swt" en tu sistema.. necesario para correr tuxguitar...
por otro lado las fuentes no estan basadas en ubuntu.. de modo que
"sudo apt-get build-essential" no va a tener efecto alguno.
